Toy Freddy is a toy animatronic in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, released by Scott Cawthon on November 10, 2014.
Steam says the older animatronics are joined by a new cast. That cast is kid-friendly, with facial recognition and a link to criminal databases. The night guard is given an empty Freddy Fazbear head. Steam does not name Toy Freddy.
This bear is not Freddy Fazbear from the 2014 game. The damaged Freddy on the other cameras in this game is that earlier bear. Toy Freddy is the new one on the Show Stage.
What he does from 12 AM to 6 AM
You stay in the office until 6 AM. This office has no security doors. The controls are the flashlight, the Freddy mask, the vents, and the music box.
In this version he starts on the Show Stage with Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica. The stage camera shows all three. Holding the light brightens that same camera.
Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica can leave the stage. His place code stays there. When the other two are gone, the stage camera shows him alone.
This version does not move him to the Game Area, a hall, or the office. The office costumes do not include him, and no script plays the Toy Freddy scare image stored in the file. The Toy Freddy wiki describes a route off the stage and into the office unless the Freddy mask is on. That route is the usual telling. It is not what this version runs.
What he looks like
On the lit Show Stage he is the brown bear in the center. The muzzle and the belly are lighter than the rest of the fur. He wears a black top hat with a red band, a black bow tie, and two black buttons. The eyes are blue, the eyebrows are black, the cheeks are pink, and the nose is black. The upper teeth show. A microphone is not clear in this frame. With the light off, the same bear is too dark to read those colors.
The wiki calls the cheeks red and puts a microphone in his right hand. It cites The Ultimate Guide, page 284, for a toy animatronic with a Freddy design, and The Freddy Files, page 38, for glossy plastic and two buttons. The history players usually tell
The wiki says he replaced Freddy at the 1987 Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and that the damaged bear is the older one kept for parts. Steam does not give 1987. It only calls the restaurant new and improved.
Players do not agree on a child inside him. What Happened to Toy Freddy: Fnaf's Joke Character? frames him as a joke and walks through later tellings. None of those names is a line in this game.
The wiki cites a Scott Cawthon Steam post from October 28, 2015, which calls him reclusive. Lines about losing at Five Nights with Mr. Hugs come from Ultimate Custom Night. They are not lines in Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
