Which game this Freddy is from
Freddy Fazbear is the bear animatronic in Five Nights at Freddy's, the 2014 game by Scott Cawthon. Players also call that game FNAF 1.
The Steam page names him as the main attraction, and his two friends. It calls them animatronic robots. Scott Cawthon is the developer, and the listed release date is August 18, 2014.
This note is about that Freddy only. Bonnie the Rabbit, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate are the other three who move through this building. Golden Freddy is a separate bear in this same game.

What he does from 12 AM to 6 AM
You stay in one office from 12 AM to 6 AM and watch the cameras. Freddy starts on the Show Stage. He reaches the office from the right. Check the East Hall before you close the right door.
On the East Hall Corner camera his face can fill the frame. That view shows two white points in his eyes, and blocky teeth on the lower jaw.
The cameras, the hall lights, and a closed door share one power bar. The Steam page says that when the power for the night runs out, the doors and the lights stop.

What he looks like
On the Show Stage camera he is a brown bear with a lighter muzzle, a black top hat, a black bow tie, and a microphone in his right hand. The eyes look pale. Dark spots sit on the muzzle, and the lower teeth are blocky. Guides call those spots freckles and call the eyes blue. The East Hall Corner camera shows two white points instead. The Ultimate Guide, page 270, says the eyes change from brown to blue outside the office door, and that a closer look shows handprints on the face. That page number is the wiki's citation. The handprints are not clear on these cameras.
The history players usually tell
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 came out the same year, on November 10. It adds Toy Freddy, a new model, and Withered Freddy, a damaged older one. Guides describe Withered Freddy as the same bear with wires and holes in the suit. The Night 2 phone call says the older models come from the previous location and are kept for parts. Players usually treat Withered Freddy as this same bear before a repair, and the Freddy in Five Nights at Freddy's as that bear afterward.
The Freddy Fazbear wiki says he is heavily implied to be possessed by a murdered child named Gabriel. The video The Evolution of Freddy Fazbear tells the same longer story. Neither is a line in the 2014 game.
Where players meet this name
This bear is in Five Nights at Freddy's. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 has Withered Freddy and Toy Freddy. Five Nights at Freddy's 3 has Phantom Freddy. Five Nights at Freddy's 4 has Nightmare Freddy. Ultimate Custom Night includes the 2014 Freddy and Withered Freddy. Funtime Freddy in Sister Location is a different bear. Help Wanted, Special Delivery, Security Breach, Help Wanted 2, and Secret of the Mimic also use the name. That later list is the wiki's.
How players describe him
The usual description is the lead singer and the face of the restaurant. The top hat, the bow tie, and the microphone match that. At night in the 2014 game he does not talk on the cameras. He leaves the stage and can fill the East Hall Corner. The wiki adds a kinder daytime manner, a laugh in the dark, and the Toreador March after the power runs out. Those lines are the wiki's telling, not a sentence in the 2014 game.
