Chica is the chicken animatronic in Five Nights at Freddy's, the 2014 game by Scott Cawthon. Players also call that game FNAF 1.
The Steam page does not list her name. It names Freddy Fazbear as the main attraction, and his two friends, and it calls them animatronic robots. Scott Cawthon is the developer, and the listed release date is August 18, 2014.
This note is about that Chica only. Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Rabbit, and Foxy the Pirate are the other three who move through this building.
What she does from 12 AM to 6 AM
You stay in one office from 12 AM to 6 AM and watch the cameras. Chica starts on the Show Stage. She usually reaches the office from the right. Bonnie usually uses the left, so the right door is the check for Chica.
On the East Hall Corner camera she can stand close to the lens. The bib in that view reads LET'S EAT!!!. Turn on the right hall light before you close the right door. If that hall is empty, turn the light off and leave the door open.
The cameras, the hall lights, and a closed door share one power bar.
What she looks like
On the Show Stage camera she is a yellow chicken with an orange beak, purple eyes, and three feather tufts on her head. The bib is white. LET'S EAT!!! is yellow with a purple outline, and colored triangles sit around the words. Guides call those eyes magenta. The cupcake on that camera sits behind Freddy.
The history players usually tell
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 came out the same year, on November 10. It adds Toy Chica, a new model, and Withered Chica, a damaged older one. Guides describe Withered Chica as missing her hands. The Night 2 phone call says the older models come from the previous location and are kept for parts. Players usually treat Withered Chica as this same chicken before a repair, and the Chica in Five Nights at Freddy's as that chicken afterward.
The Chica the Chicken wiki says she is possessed by a murdered child named Susie, citing The Ultimate Guide, page 265, which cites the Fazbear Frights story Coming Home. That page number is the wiki's citation. The video This is the story of Chica the chicken tells the same longer story. Neither is a line in the 2014 game.

How players describe her
The usual description is a backup singer who wants to eat. The bib says the same thing. At night in the 2014 game she does not talk. She comes down the right hall and can wait at the door. The wiki adds a sweeter daytime manner, pans knocked over in the kitchen, and, for Withered Chica in Ultimate Custom Night, a damaged character who knows she is broken. Those lines are not in the 2014 game.
